Award Winning Pumpkin Patch
We often like to remind ourselves that Hatters Farm was named Best British Pumpkin Patch 2025 by Trick or Treat Map and as we prepare for another Halloween season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what that recognition really means.
Hatter's Farm

From the very beginning, our aim has never been to create just a field of pumpkins. We wanted to build a full family Halloween experience that is somewhere children could explore freely, parents could slow down, and a simple tradition could turn into a lasting memory. The award wasn’t just about the number of pumpkins grown here, but about the atmosphere families told us they felt the moment they arrived.
So what makes our pumpkin patch extra special?
It starts with the pumpkins themselves. Thousands grow directly in our fields, which means visitors don’t pick from a crate. They head out on a proper pumpkin hunt. Small pumpkins, giant pumpkins, perfectly shaped ones and wonderfully wonky ones! Every child seems convinced they’ve found the best pumpkin in the patch.
Beyond the pumpkins, the day unfolds into something much bigger. Families wander themed trails, discover autumn photo spots, meet friendly characters and enjoy seasonal food and hot drinks. For younger visitors especially, the focus stays on fun and imagination rather than fright, a Halloween atmosphere filled with laughter instead of scares.
Parents often mention how naturally the visit pulls children outdoors. Climbing straw bales, navigating the maize maze and exploring open space create the kind of screen-free day that feels increasingly rare and increasingly valuable.
Being recognised as the UK’s favourite pumpkin patch confirmed something we’d been hearing from returning visitors for years that people don’t just visit once, they build traditions here.
This Halloween, come and experience the place families chose as Britain’s best.
