Hatters Farm is a family-friendly pumpkin farm based in Takeley, near Bishops Stortford with our pumpkin picking and Halloween events running from early October. Booking will be available via our website nearer to the time. Bring your wellies, and enjoy everything that Hatters Farm has to offer.

At Hatters Farm, we grow thousands of spooky pumpkins and squashes for you and the kids to choose from, with over 50 eerie varieties available, you will be completely spoilt for choice. As well as traditional orange pumpkins, we have lots of different types of pumpkins available. For example, we have our turks turban pumpkins, and our ghoulish ghost pumpkins; you will find all kinds of pumpkins at our Halloween display here at Hatters Farm.

As well as our pumpkin picking, we have a range of other spine-chilling activities for you and the family to enjoy when you come to visit Hatters Farm.

Pumpkin Cannon

Want to fire some pumpkins at our target range and test your aim? We are the first attraction in the UK to have our very own pumpkin cannon. You can come down and fire our pumpkins at several spooky-themed targets with both pumpkins and squashes, taking down the creepy targets one by one. Shoot your shot and have fun with the entire family. Under 13’s must be accompanied by an adult, and under 6’s will not be allowed to fire the cannon.

Maize Maze

Fancy a challenge? Take on our mysterious maize maze, spread over almost 7 acres of land and full of all sorts of twists and turns to keep you entertained. You can take our spooky maize walk at your own pace, but try not to get lost inside. You will also be able to play our fun and challenging mini-game, where your mission is to search for all of the letters to make a chosen Halloween-related word. You can also then get the chance to enter one of our competitions.

Nature Trail

Looking to enjoy a lovely, autumnal nature walk? We have our very own nature trail for you to enjoy for free, so if you or the kids are looking to burn off even more energy, then you can come and enjoy our wonderful countryside with the family.

Save the Dates

Ready to come and take part in our exciting Halloween activities and pick your pumpkins? We will be open on the 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th of October for pumpkin picking, and from the 22nd to 30th of October for our pumpkin picking and our Halloween events.

Tickets for our Pumpkin Picking days and nights will go on sale closer to the dates, so keep an eye out for when they come available as they sell out quickly. Booking is essential, and your booking fee will come off of the price of the pumpkins you buy.
