Our Tulip Fields are blooming at Hatter’s Farm in April 2026, bringing a burst of colour, fresh air, and photo ready views. Inspired by Dutch tulip fields, this seasonal event is made for relaxed spring strolls, great pictures, and a fun day out with family and friends.
Hatter’s Farm is in Takeley, Essex, just outside Bishop’s Stortford and Stansted Airport, so it’s an easy trip if you’re looking for tulip fields near London or in the Essex and Hertfordshire area.

Explore the Tulip Festival
Take your time wandering through the tulips, soaking up the colour, and capturing those standout spring photos. The fields are designed to be enjoyed at your own pace, whether you are planning a family outing, a catch up with friends, or a spring date.

Food and drink
You can expect food and drink in a similar style to our pumpkin events, with a Dutch inspired feel. Think comforting treats and seasonal favourites that pair perfectly with a walk around the fields.

Pre-picked tulips
If you would like to take some flowers home without picking, you will be able to purchase pre-picked tulips during your visit, subject to availability. Perfect for gifts, a table centrepiece, or simply bringing a little spring colour home.
Photo opportunities
The Tulip Fields will be the main backdrop, and we will also have dedicated photo spots around the site.

- Additional flower themed photo set ups
Other activities
Alongside exploring the tulip rows, we’ll have a couple of extra bits of fun on site to help make your visit a proper day out. For our younger visitors (or the young at heart!) there's face painting and the usual fun farm play areas to enjoy. It’s the perfect way to break up your stroll through the fields, add a little adventure to the day, and keep everyone smiling between those photo stops.

Our Tulip Fields are coming in Spring 2026. We are hoping to open from early April until early May. Dates will be confirmed nearer the time! Tickets on Sale 6th February, don't miss out!
Hatter’s Farm Tulip Festival is near Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, close to the Essex border and only around an hours drive from London.
Sadly we can't produce tulips on the scale they do in Holland but we are hoping to our guests an idea of what it is like! We have 3 acres of tulips which means over 250,000 flowers.
Yes, there will be dutch themed food and drink stalls, plus treats like toasted marshmallows.
In order to keep the tulip field looking beautiful for everyone you are not able to pick your own tulips from the field but you are able to build your own bunch of pre picked tulips in the gift shop.
We love dogs at Hatter's Farm so yes! But for their safety, dogs must be kept on a lead.
Please be aware that tulips and tulip bulbs can be poisonous to dogs if ingested and it is the responsibility of owners to be aware and understand the risks of this before they visit.

We recommend comfortable clothing for the weather and sturdy footwear, especially after rain.
Yes, you will be able to purchase pre-picked tulips on site, subject to availability.
Parking will be available on hardstanding next to the tulip fields and is free of charge.
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring a picnic along with you, but you are not able to toast your own marshmallows. There will also be hot food and drinks available at the tulip fields.
